Yue Xiu 353 Transformation
After improving the circulation into an interconnected network which is attached to surrounding neighborhoods, this former gated industrial area transforms into an open and vibrant office environment. Inbo’s design for the first phase regenerates the run-down complex into a welcoming ‘creative town’ by revealing the currently overlooked qualities of the existing site. To make full use of the potential of its prime location in the curve of the river, the main road is relocated and this does not only add property value, but also transforms a ‘back-road’ into an attractive green riverfront park.
The architecture expression offers a new powerful overarching identity with a variety of individual characters to accommodate diverse users. Courtyards with different themes create intimacy and at the same time stimulate interaction between the users, which is the foundation for a successful innovative campus ecology.
