The Catalyst parking garage
The Catalyst parking garage is trending within an ambitious international development at Science Park TU/e. The master plan focuses on the sustainable amplification of the innovation-driven knowledge ecosystem in Eindhoven.
According to the original ideas of Van Embden, creator of the TU/e Science Park, the development strives for a collective identity in landscape, public space and architecture. Within this urban context cars are considered only to be guest. High-quality parking facilities will provide space for landscape development and form an integral part of the sustainable and innovative architectural ambitions.
The Catalyst parking garage is a trendsetting. Within the delicate scenery of nearly a century old oak trees it accommodates over 150 cars within a strictly composed volume. The continuous façade of framed stretched metal elements enables natural ventilation of the garage. Influenced by the ever changing daylight, the representation of the semi-transparent skin provides the building with a welcome dynamic expression.
