Sequoia office building, Apeldoorn
Within Inbo’s urban development plan, the former Philips site at the south part of Apeldoorn is being redeveloped into FizzionParc. It will be a campus-like business park with sustainable office premises, spread amidst greenery. The renovation of the Sequoia office building will be the first visible result of a long-term repositioning of the site.
The core space of Sequoia, which was built in the end of the 1980s, was totally stripped away. The façade, the installations and the building technology have been entirely replaced and revised for the new era. The new façade, built up from sustainable and reusable, stacked stones, uses large windows to breach the original symmetry. The interior was also fundamentally renewed and adapted to today’s requirements. Sequoia has become a model for the sustainable ambitions of FizzionParc.
