Kraanspoor Office, Amsterdam
A 21st century office in a building with a rich industrial heritage, the ‘Kraanspoor’ (crane track) in Amsterdam is a striking development that links the past with the future. The construction is industrial in nature, expressing a simplicity and a purity of form. The width of the building is equal to the width of the old crane track. Architect Trude Hooykaas has found a beautiful way of retaining the relationship between old and new.
