Headquarters Philips Lighting
In December 2013 the activities of Philips Lighting moved from the center of Eindhoven to an existing building ensemble on the High Tech Campus. Three buildings, each with their own qualities. The main building, one of the first laboratory buildings dating from the sixties, has undergone the biggest change. In the heart of the building a former patio has been covered. Thus outside has become inside. With a new roof at 10 meters height a new atrium space was created that offers room to a Light sculpture, a spectacular show of light.
With room for intimate informal meetings up to ‘town hall meetings’ the atrium will become the vibrant heart of Lighting and an 'Experience' for the High Tech Campus as a whole. The adjoining Light Application Center (LAC), a literal translation of Brand Experience, will be completed in September.
Inbo made the design for this unique project together with JHK architects and LAVA. The offices have been completed and are in use. The LAC is still under construction.
