ChristianUniversity of Applied Sciences in Ede
The Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (CHE) is well-known for its excellent and personal education and it therefore prefers to invest in education rather than in property. Nevertheless, it recognises the important role that good accommodations play in a good education. The decision to maintain the existing structure and to add a new building to it is therefore very appropriate.
Clarity and structure has been restored to the existing building. With its new restaurant in the existing atrium, the building obtains a lively centre, an attractive place for working, studying and meeting each other. A bridge leads to the all-glass new building where the chequered pattern on the façade refers to leaves that filter sunlight and provide shade.
