InboCuld designed an inspiring educational campus for BUas where one can find activities at all times. The wide-ranging qualities of the two existing educational buildings and a former abbey were used to their full extent: the monumental aesthetics of the abbey, the royal floors of the Frontier Building and the safe shelter of the Ocean Building. To create space for lots of greenery, we moved the parking spots over to the sides of the grounds. In between, we created a relaxed public parc with slanting greenery, trees, a sports field and footpaths.
The primary aim for all buildings was to create light and air: transparency, multi-purpose open spaces and each location in relation with the landscape. Public locations in and around the buildings were designed in conjunction and bring the students, residents and visitors closer together in a literal sense.
