A building with a human touch
Small-scale and bridging students and researchers, departments and teaching activities. Warm ambiance through the use of lots of wood. Maintaining a human scale by fitting perfectly in the landscape, by the form of the building and by the construction of the façade in which two stories are seemingly joined by large white frames. This characterises the new Maria Montessoribuilding for Faculty of Social Sciences.
Today’s university is more than a server that enables people to study at all times and places. It is an inspiring work and study environment with spaces for meeting and relaxing. A sustainable and sound building - sufficiently energy-neutral – that upholds its responsibilities for the future.
