In a democracy, the clients of our public buildings must be accountable for their choices. Bert understands that this demands his personal involvement. Bert brings out the enthusiasm in the client, relieves him of worries, but he is also publicly responsible at all times. This was the case for example with the city halls in Veenendaal and Weert.
