Sept 2016 - Recharged

Lecture sustainable transformation

On September 30Jeroen Simons, architect-partner of Inbo, will during the Dutch Green Building Week talk about his approach and role in the high quality rebuilding of the dentistry building of the Radboud University in Nijmegen. The building went from energy label G to A+. Because of the energy policy and the high sustainability ambitions of the University, the architect has a different role in such a project as a director of smart engineering. During the talk Jeroen will elaborate on this.

With a new façade, a new central atrium and new installations the dentistry building put a step forward regarding energy saving, improving comfort, flexible use of space and a contemporary appearance. The right separation of user flows between practice areas and education and instruction areas, the long term changing and flexible usage and the choice of such products make the building ready for the future.

Besides Jeroen also Ton van de Beek (director of the University Real Estate Company) and Stefan Timmers (sustainability advisor and project manager at Deerns) will point out their different perspectives regarding the renovation project of the dentistry building. They will talk about the road towards it, the process, the traps, the solutions and the do’s and don’ts. They will showcase the bigger perspective of the project and the Radboud University.
