You can learn to think circular

Arnold Homan and Rutger Oolbekkink of Inbo will give a workshop about circularity at the I’m Binck festival in The Hague on Oktober 7/8/9. They will do this in response to the rebuilding of New World Campus, also in The Hague. The festival will take place at De Binckhorst, a business park where old and new industries meet.

In an empty building at De Binckhorst we will look for alternative ways of using building materials together with participants. We will change people’s way of looking at buildings and awaken their creativity. Also the owner of the building will get a whole new insight in the materials of his building.

Arnold and Rutger previously worked on the circular rebuilding of New World Campus into a meeting and working place for companies who like to work together on different kinds of sustainability challenges on all levels. During the rebuilding of this former building of the Postal Service, a municipal monument, the building was seen as a materials depot. The reasons for using the available materials anew or in a different creative way were both sustainable and financial. For example: the carpet tiles were cleaned and used again or were upcycled into lounge sofas. Our way of working and the results of that could rely on a lot of attention from the companies connected to or renting spaces in New World Campus.
