June 2016 - A stimulating work environment
Entering is coming home
Entrances of big condominiums often feel anonymous. Hard materials, passionless colors and endless rows of letterboxes make the entrances soulless and cold. We want the feeling of coming home to start the moment you enter the building. The entrance hall of Intermezzo, a chic, urban building at the Zuidas in Amsterdam, is being designed with the care and attention it deserves. By involving the future residents in the design process the atmosphere and experience will match their housing requirements. Stone, oaks and furnishing in warm colors fit the luxurious and metropolitan quality of living in Intermezzo perfectly and strengthen the buildings identity.
For GoedWonen Gemert we design the Thuishuis complex, that will offer a real home for single people of 55+. With all the facilities in their own houses and a big common room at the garden this initiative is a solution for a growing group of seniors. The building blends into the small, village like scale and is special because of its nonstandard typology and strong details. Bricks and aluminum in bronze tints give the building a modest and chic appearance. The houses and common rooms show character with bright colors and cool lightings. Matching the changing approach to life of its active and self-conscious residents.
