Selected for Shenzhen’s Xiaomeisha

Urban transformation bidding

The Inbo is happy to announce to be selected for Shenzhen’s Xiaomeisha urban transformation bidding! We are selected with three other teams out of 40 applicants. Inbo teams up with Shenzhen’s SZAD and we compete against RTKL, Fuksas and Urbanus.

The site is around 15hA and has all qualities of a dream holiday location, with a clean beautiful light-yellow sand beach and surrounded by an abundance of green. Just north of the area a dam and lake will be a nice day-hike away. Another popular attraction will be the new enlarged Ocean-world. The rundown buildings will be replaced by top-quality tourist facilities, such as hotels, retail, f&b and apartments, to develop a bustling 24/7 attractive beachfront.

In the past many well-known design offices have been involved in this project for the overall positioning and vision for the whole area. Now it’s our turn to follow up on all ambitions defined in the past and develop them into clear guidelines for the architecture stage and related public space design, including the development of the new underground metro station, general massing and guidelines for the architecture style.

We hope to be able to share more of our vision for this unique project soon!
