Comfortable energy neutral houses

Designed for maximum ease of use and residential comfort

21-10-2016

KleurrijkWonen held a Design & Build competition for the redevelopment of the Siemensstraat in Leerdam. The assignment counts 34 social homes, that will have to meet the EPV requirements for energy fees. Together with Hegeman from Almelo we won this assignment with a plan focused on comfort and the ease of use for residents.

Affordable, social homes which meet the EPV requirements. That was the starting point of the collaboration between Inbo and Hegeman. By using the nZEB-tool (nearly Zero Energy Building) and the PHPP calculation method we came up with an energy concept as optimal as possible. To maximize the ease of use we will install infrared radiation panels which are able to simulate the typical, warm feeling of conventional radiators. The houses are affordable, easy to use and meet the EPV requirements. They are designed in a way that a wide audience can live in the houses, from big families to elderly people living alone.  In the spring of 2017 construction will start.
