‘De Linie’ in Groningen was designed by German architect Müller Reimann. The Inbo engineers were appointed to ensure that the design remained intact, while introducing Dutch standards and construction methods. This required cooperation supported by a critical eye, enabling Inbo to identify and side-step any oncoming pitfalls, and at the same time optimising the construction costs. Inbo also monitored progress during construction and maintained close team contact with the architect.
